Most Indian households already enjoy cooking for every festival, so Halloween feels like another reason to experiment with flavour. Pumpkin is one of the main symbols of Halloween, and it works well in savoury food. Boiled or roasted pumpkin can be blended with chickpeas, olive oil, garlic, and a little lemon juice to make a smooth dip. A small pinch of roasted cumin gives it a pleasant flavour.
