Dates And Figs Dryfruit Disc
This a no sugar sweet prepared with Dates , Figs which are naturally sweet along with dryfruits
This a no sugar sweet prepared with Dates , Figs which are naturally sweet along with dryfruits
Heat a pan on low heat and add poppy seeds , dry roast it for 2 minutes and take it out in a bowl
In the same pan add cashews and almonds and dry roast them for 4-5 minutes or until they become crispy , take them out in a bowl
In a mixer grinder grind together figs and dates , if required add little milk , into a smooth paste
In the same pan add little ghee and put figs and dates paste , cook on low heat until it becomes thick and leaves the sides of the pan
Now add cashews , almonds , chironji and half of pistachios , mix them nicely and cook for 2-3 minutes
When the mixture comes together then take it out on a plate and let it cool down a little
With greased hands make two logs with the mixture
On a kitchen platform sprinkle the remaining pistachios and poppy seeds
Roll a log over them nicely so that the poppy seeds and pistachios sticks over it properly
In an aluminium foil wrap this log tightly , seal it nicely from both the ends . In the same way prepare the other log
Place them in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours
Then take it out from the refrigerator and cut into equal sized discs , it should be a little less than half a centimetre in thickness
