Step 1

In a wok, dry roast sesame seeds on low flame until they pop slightly and release a nice aroma.

Step 2

Turn off the flame, transfer to a plate, and let them cool completely.

Step 3

In the same wok, add mawa and cook on low flame until it turns slightly golden and aromatic.

Step 4

Turn off the flame and transfer the mawa to a mixing bowl.

Step 5

Add roasted sesame seeds (reserve 2 spoons for later) to a grinder and grind coarsely.

Step 6

Mix the sesame seed powder with lukewarm mawa, add whole sesame seeds, desi khand, raisins, and elaichi powder. Combine well.

Step 7

Take small portions and shape into laddus of your desired size.

Step 8
