A traditional winter modak made with roasted sesame seeds and pure jaggery, offering natural warmth, nourishment, and festive sweetness in every bite.
Dry roast sesame seeds on low flame till aromatic. Cool and coarsely grind.
Heat ghee in a pan, add jaggery and melt on low flame till just soft (do not overcook).
Add ground sesame seeds, cardamom, dry ginger, and peanuts. Mix well.
Cook for 1–2 minutes till mixture binds together.
Switch off flame, let it cool slightly, grease hands, and shape into modaks.
Serve warm or at room temperature
Stays fresh for 5–7 days in an airtight container
