Til Mawa Roll

Til Mawa Roll is a premium, traditional Indian sweet, crafted from rich, creamy mawa (khoya) and generously coated with roasted sesame seeds It is popular during winter, especially for festivals like Makar Sankranti and Lohri.

Step 1

1. In a wok dry roast sesame seeds on low flame till slightly colour changed & fragrant.

Step 2

2. Let it cool down completely.

Step 3

3. Grind coarsely in a mixer grinder, setting 3 4 tblsp to be used later

4. In same wok add mawa and cook it on low to medium flame till it melts and colour changed slightly

5. Off the flame & let mawa cool till like warm

6. Transfer iin a mixing bowl

Step 7

7. Add grinded sesame seeds, powder sugar,, elaichi powder and two spoons whole sesame seeds into mawa.

8. Mix all ingredients very well..

9. On a butter paper spread some pistachio flakes, rose petals and remaining whole seeds

Step 10

10 Transfer sesame seeds, mawa mixture on butter paper and shape into logs, rolling it on pistachio flakes, dry rose petals and whole sesame seeds.

11 Keep it in refrigerator for half an hour.

Step 12

12 After half an hour cut this log into round shape with sharp knife.

Step 13

13 Transfer in a serving plate & garnish with rose petals/pistachio.
