White and Black Til Gud Papadi

#SLC The beginning of every year sees a major comeback of til (sesame seeds) in various forms of snacks and sweets. Til gur papdi recipe needs just few ingredients – til and gur. Also, it can be made in all of 10 minutes. It is just the healthy and crunchy munchie you need this winter .i used black sesame seeds and white sesame seeds with two colours gud white and normal) to give it unique look.

Step 1

For white gud papadi -Dry roast white sesame seeds on low-medium flame for 2-3 minutes.

Step 2

Keep aside and let the sesame seeds cool down.

Step 3

Take plastic sheet butter paper, parchment paper or foil paper, and grease it.

Step 4

Heat a pan and pour less than ¼ cup water and white grated jaggery in it to melt it.

Step 5

Cook till you get a thick syrup. Add a tablespoon of ghee.

Step 6

Add roasted sesame seeds(mixed ) and cardamom powder in the jaggery syrup and mix well.

Step 7

Transfer to the greased paper.

Step 8

Cover with a plastic wrap and press or roll it to make make a thin layer gud papadi

Step 9

Separate from the sheet and garnish with nuts ad rose petals .

Step 10

Or Let it set and cut it into pieces of desired shape and size.

Step 11

For black gud papadi- Similarly make brown papadi with normal brown gud .
