Vanilla Pista Phirni

#Holi26 A traditional festive rice phirni is given a fusion touch by using vanilla as flavouring Chilled in motto me kasore and Topped with pistachio

Step 1

Blend rice with little water to make a coarse paste

Step 2

Bring milk to a boil in a thick bottomed pan

Step 3

Lower heat to medium and let the milk simmer for few minutes

Step 4

Add rice paste and keep stirring continuously to avoid formation of lumps

Step 5

Keep cooking till it thickens (keep in mind that it will thicken more on cooling )

Step 6

Remove from fire ,add sugar and vanilla Essence

Step 7

Mix it well

Step 8

Pour in individual clay cups (kasore)

Step 9

Sprinkle chopped pista on top

Step 10

Refrigerate to chill and set fully

Step 11

Serve chilled
