Til Ka Khoya Choorma

This sweet recipe is for a rich, traditional Indian sweet known as Til Khoya Choorma. It combines the nuttiness of toasted sesame seeds (til) with the creamy richness of evaporated milk solids (khoya) and crunch of nuts .It is particularly popular during the winter months and festivals like Makar Sankranti because it is warming and highly nutritious.In north india it is given as bayna for showing respect to elders.

Step 1

1. Clean the sesame seeds.

Step 2

2. Roast sesame seeds on slow fire, cool & grind them coarsely.

Step 3

3. Roast khoya slightly on slow fire, cool & crumble with fingers.

Step 4

4. Now mix sugar powdered or boora with roasted crumbled khoya & coarsely grinded sesame seeds.

Step 5

5. Add cardamom powder.

Step 6

6. Put choorma in plate & garnish with almond pieces, raisins & pistachios.

Step 7

7. (We can use grinded groundnut in place of roasted sesame seeds.

Step 8

8. Then it will be named as Moongfali Ka Choorma..)
