Step 1

Heat 1 teaspoon of ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan and fry the semolina on low heat until golden brown. Place it on a separate plate. Add 1 teaspoon of ghee and fry the gram flour on low heat until golden brown.

Step 2

Now add coconut shavings and lightly fry them. Add the roasted semolina and milk powder. Add the milk, thandai powder, and saffron strands and mix well.

Step 3

Now, while stirring, pour it into the pan. Reduce the heat to low and fry it a little. Add the remaining ghee.

Step 4

Now, cover it and let it sit for 2 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat. In another vessel, add 1/2 cup of water to the sugar and bring it to a boil. When it becomes sticky, turn off the heat (you don’t need to make syrup), mix it well with the roasted mixture and then make laddus. You can also store these laddus.
