Step 1

Soak almonds, pistachios, melon seeds, and poppy seeds in warm water for about 30 minutes.

Step 2

Grind the soaked ingredients with fennel, cardamom, pepper, and a little milk into a smooth paste.

Step 3

Heat the milk lightly and add the paste. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.

Step 4

Add sugar and saffron, mix well.

Step 5

Cool slightly, add rose water, and strain if you prefer smoother texture.

Step 6

Chill and serve garnished with chopped nuts and saffron.
