Step 1

In a bowl, mix flour and ghee. Rub well until crumbly.

Step 2

Add water gradually and knead into a stiff dough.

Step 3

Cover and rest for 20 minutes.

Step 4

In a pan, lightly roast mawa on low flame for 2–3 minutes. Let it cool completely.

Step 5

Add powdered sugar, cardamom powder, cashews, raisins, and pistachios. Mix well.

Step 6

Divide dough into small balls and roll into small circles.

Step 7

Cut in half, shape into a cone, and fill with mawa mixture. Seal properly.

Step 8

Heat oil or ghee on low–medium flame.

Step 9

Fry samosas on low flame until golden and crispy.

Step 10

For making sugar syrup and coating :

Step 11

Add sugar and water to a pan and heat it.

Step 12

Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves completely.

Step 13

Cook until the syrup reaches one-string consistency.

Step 14

Dip the prepared Samosa in the sugar syrup made with Mawa filling.

Step 15

Take them out after a few seconds and let the syrup coat evenly.

Step 16

This gives the Shahi Mawa Dry Fruit Samosa a beautiful glossy sweet coating.
