Ring Shaped Rangeeli Gujiya

#Holi26 Gujiya is synonymous with Holi and I made ring shaped Rangeeli Gujiya giving it the colours of Holi

Step 1

Filling: In a bowl add granulated sugar and grated coconut with chopped almonds and cashew nuts

Step 2

Mix well and set aside

Step 3

Gujiya: In a bowl add Maida, salt and 1 Tbsp oil to mix well

Step 4

Add water gradually to make a dough, knead well

Step 5

Make three balls

Step 6

Add strawberry compote to one

Step 7

Add spinach paste to one

Step 8

Add kesar infused water and orange juice to another

Step 9

Mix well and make the doughs firm

Step 10

Roll out one and add 1 tsp of filling on top

Step 11

Take a knife and cut strips but leaving 1/2” from the top

Make a Maida slurry and close from the top

Step 11

Roll the filling and taking each strips fold on top of the top fold carefully

Make a circle and close the edges firmly

Step 15

Complete the batches for all colours

Step 16

In a wok heat oil and add one ring shaped Rangeeli Gujiya and fry on medium flame. Set aside

Serve and enjoy
