Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped nuts, melon seeds, ginger, green chilies, chaat masala, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and set aside.

Step 2

Remove the crusts from the bread slices. Lightly dip a slice into a bowl of water for 2-3 seconds—do not over-soak it or it will break.

Squeeze out the extra water from the bread slice completely using your palms.

Place a spoonful of the nut mixture in the center of the damp bread slice. Fold the bread over to form a semi-circle (gujiya shape). Press the edges firmly together to seal it.

Arrange the prepared gujiyas on a serving plate.

Pour the whisked sweetened yogurt generously over the bread gujiyas, ensuring they are completely covered.
