A perfect dinner party dish, lauki kofta is a delicious to eat. Soft dumplings made with grated lauki (bottle gourd) stuffed a deep-fried gram flour kofta and cooked in a flavourful gravy of spices, tomatoes and onions.
Wash, peel and grate bottlegourd. Mix gram flour and all masala ingredients and mix well with hands. No need to add water. Bottle Gourd will release its water and all ingredients mixes well.

Heat oil in a wok. Make small round balls of dough and leave in hot oil and deep fry till golden brown colour.
Now take another wok. Add cooking oil and put cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter add ginger, garlic and green chilli paste and bay leaf. Saute for 30 seconds.
Add chopped onion and fry till golden brown colour.
Add chopped tomatoes and dry masala ingredients for curry mentioned in ingredients and mix well. Cook on low flame till oil leaves the sides of wok.
Add slit cashew nuts and water. Let it boil. Now add koftas.
dd chopped coriander leaves and garam masala and mix well.
Serve hot koftas with chapatti or rice garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
