Step 1

First, prepare all the ingredients.

Step 2

Boil the potatoes with salt, peel them, and keep aside.

Step 3

To make the garlic chutney, crush the garlic and mix it with red chilli powder, salt, and coriander powder. Keep aside.

Step 4

In a bowl, add gram flour, red chilli powder, turmeric, salt, asafoetida, and oil. Mix well and add water gradually to make a medium-thick batter.

Step 5

Cut the boiled potatoes into halves.

Step 6

Stuff each potato piece with the prepared garlic chutney.

Step 7

Dip the stuffed potatoes into the gram flour batter.

Step 8

Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the battered potatoes until golden and crispy.

Step 9

Lahsooni Aloo Bada is ready! Serve hot with your favourite chutney or sauce.
