Farali Sandwich

#cnv26 During this navratri if you feel like having something different then this is the recipe for you. Crispy and healthy upwas sandwich! Surprised, aren’t you? But yes, you can have sandwich during fast too. You just can’t guess that these are fasting sandwich. Though stuffing looks like potato stuffing, it is not potato. These turn out nice and crispy. It needs very few ingredients and is a real quick recipe. This is a very healthy and tasty recipe.

Step 1

First of all, clean sama rice and add it to a mixer jar, add sabudana to it and crush it into a powder foam.

Step 2

Now take this powder in a bowl, add water and curd and mix it well. Again add 2 table spoon of water and mix well. And cover this batter and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 3

Now heat oil in a pan, add finely chopped ginger, finely chopped green chillies, sweet curry leaves and white sesame seeds and mix well and saute. Now add half crushed groundnut powder to it and saute it.

Step 4

Now add boiled and mashed potato, Sindhav salt, chopped green coriander leaves, sugar and lemon juice and mix these spices. After that cool this masala.

Step 5

Now add sindhav salt, red chili flakes and eno fruit salt to the sama rice batter and mix well. Then grease the sandwich toaster with oil.

Step 6

Now add 1 spoonful of batter from all sides in this toaster, spread sandwich masala on it and add cheese slices on top.

Step 7

Now add batter again and cover it and sprinkle red chili flakes on top, close the toaster and cook on low flame until crispy on both sides.

Step 8

Prepare all the sandwiches in this way.

Step 9

Now our very delicious and yummy Farali sandwich which is eaten in our fast is ready to serve. Serve this sandwich with a drizzle of green chutney or tomato ketchup.
