The dough is rolled into a big round roti, cut into small squares, and shaped into petal-like pieces before frying until golden and crunchy. Each color of petal is coated with a different exciting flavor

Step 1

Make Base Dough: Mix rava, oats powder, rice flour, salt, ajwain, black pepper. Add hot oil and rub till crumbly. Divide into 5 portions. Add colors separately and make tight dough (not soft).

Step 2

Roll Big Roti: Take one colored dough. Roll into a big round roti (medium thin).

Step 3

Keep shaped petals on cloth for 15–20 minutes to dry slightly.While slightly warm, toss each color with its assigned seasoning.

Step 4

Cut Squares Using knife or pizza cutter: Cut the big roti into small square pieces.

Step 5

Make Flower Petal Shape: Take each square. Slightly trim two corners to make petal shape. Gently press center with finger or spoon to give curve. Now it actually looks like petals. Repeat with all colors.

Step 6

Now fry all the petals in Medium hot oil till golden brown.

Step 7

Sprinkle different flavors according to their color..

Step 8

For eg. Pudina powder & Chat masala on Green color petals.
