Besan Ki Chakki

Step 1

Add a little ghee to the gram flour and knead it firmly.

Step 2

Then divide it into small pieces.

Step 3

Press them in your fist to form balls.

Step 4

Now heat ghee in a pan and fry the balls on low flame until golden brown.

Step 5

Once cooled, break it into pieces by hand and grind it finely in a mixer.

Step 6

Sieve it and keep it aside.

Step 7

Now put ghee in a pan and fry it on medium flame till it turns golden.

Step 8

Add mawa and fry it for 2-3 minutes.

Step 9

In another pan, add sugar and 1/2 cup water and make 1 1/2 string syrup.

Step 10

(If the syrup forms a ball when put in water, then the syrup is ready.)

Step 11

Now add color, roasted gram flour and cardamom to it. Stir well and pour it on a plate, then apply a layer.

Step 12

Garnish with almonds, pistachios and saffron. Cut it into your desired shape and serve.
