Beetroot Peanut Barfi

Step 1

First we have to make khoya/mawa. In a pan add milk, now add milk powder slowly and keep stirring so that there will be no lumps. Keep stirring, slowly the milk will start to thicken and leave the sides of the pan, now add 1/2 tsp ghee and keep stirring constantly till it becomes thick, now let it cool, it will become dry.

Step 2

Cut the beetroot in small pieces and in a pan add water, place the beetroot pieces in pan, and let it cook till it becomes tender, take out from water and blend into a paste.

Step 3

Take roasted peanuts and peel the skin and blend into powder.

Step 4

In a pan add khoya and stir it for 3-4 minutes.Now add beetroot puree and sugar and mix properly, keep stirring till it starts thickening.

Step 5

Add peanut powder and keep stirring till it becomes thick and start leaving the sides of pan. Add cardamom powder and mix.

Step 6

Take a plate, Grease it, transfer the mixture to the greased plate, spread sesame seeds over it, keep in refrigerator for 20 minutes, cut into desired shape and serve.
