Almonds (badam) are soaked, peeled, and ground into a smooth paste, then simmered with milk, saffron, and cardamom. This gives the drink its rich, nutty flavor and a beautiful golden hue.

Step 1

Soak & Peel Almonds:
Soak almonds overnight (or for 2–3 hours in hot water). Peel off the skins.

Bring milk to a boil in a pan. Simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.

Add Almond Paste:
Stir in the almond paste slowly, mixing well to avoid lumps. Cook for 2–3 minutes.

Flavor:
Add saffron-infused milk, cardamom powder, and sugar. Stir well. Simmer for another 2 minutes.

Step 6

Serve:
Pour into cups. Garnish with chopped nuts. Serve hot or chilled.
