Step 1

Soak the peeled moong dal in water for one hour.

Step 2

After one hour wash the dal with clean water and put it in the pressure cooker. Now add salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder.

Step 3

Add chopped onion and tomato as well. Now pressure cook the dal till two whistles.

Step 4

After the dal is cooked add garam masala, roasted cumin powder and mix it.

Step 5

Chilke wali moong dal made without ghee and oil is ready. Very tasty dal is ready. Serve it with roti, naan, rice etc.
