Step 1

Combine the oats and 1½ cups water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat.

Step 2

Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook until the water has been absorbed, about 5 minutes.

Step 3

Stir in the cinnamon and salt.

Step 4

Top with the berries, banana, nuts, and/or dried fruit, as you like. If desired, pour a little maple syrup on top. Serve hot.
