#BP26 Gulgule is like a sweet pakoda which tastes sweet and is soft. It is made in Bihar. It can be made very easily. It can be made from jaggery or sugar.

Step 1

Mix sugar, coconut shavings and cardamom powder in wheat flour.

Step 2

Make a thick batter by adding water little by little. (I have prepared very thick batter for Gulgula)

Step 3

Cover the mixture and let it rise for at least 30 minutes. By doing this, the dumpling will swell on its own and there will be no need to add baking soda separately.

Step 4

Due to being beaten well, their size increases. Fry them from all sides till they turn golden.

Step 5

Heat ghee/oil in a pan, keep medium flame. Take small portions from the thick batter and put them in ghee/oil.

Step 6

Take out and serve cold or hot.
