Chana Dal Stuffed Paratha

Step 1

Add wheat flour in a mixing bowl. Add salt and make a dough by adding water slowly. Keep aside for 15 minutes.

Step 2

Wash dal and Soak for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3

Transfer it in a pressure cooker. Add water, salt and turmeric powder and pressure cook till 7-8 minutes after the first whistle. Switch off the flame and let pressure release automatically.

Step 4

Transfer dal in a colander. Sieve dal. Keep in colander for 15-20 minutes to Remove water thoroughly from dal.

Step 5

Transfer it in a bowl. Add chopped onion, green chilli, grated ginger and chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

Step 6

Add all the dry masale as mentioned in Ingredients and mix well and mash it properly. Stuffing is ready.

Step 7

Now take a portion of dough and make a ball. Roll it with the help of a rolling pin and put 2 tb sp of stuffing on it and bring edges to the centre and make a ball.

Heat a griddle and place the paratha on it and roast for 2 minutes. Flip the side and roast from the other side also. Now apply cooking oil on both sides and shallow fry till crispy golden brown colour.

Likewise make all the parathas.

Step 11

Serve hot with curd and serve garnished with butter.
