Barnyard Khichdi

Sama rice is healthy and tasty and its khichdi is very light for digestion.

Step 1

First of all, we will wash the Sama rice thoroughly and soak it for 10 minutes and after that we will wash and cut all the vegetables like potatoes, tomatoes, green chillies.

Step 2

Now we will heat oil in the pan and add cumin seeds and curry leaves, add peanuts and potatoes and fry.

Step 3

After frying the potatoes for one or two minutes, we will also add green chillies and tomatoes to it.

Step 4

And now we will add salt in it, mix everything well and cover it and cook the potatoes. Then we will add two-three spoons of water in it so that our potatoes do not stick to the pan and get cooked well.

Step 5

Now to cook one bowl of Sama rice, we will add two and a half bowls of water in it and when it boils, we will add soaked Sama rice in it and mix everything well, cover it and let it cook for 7-8 minutes on low flame.

Step 6

So, join our delicious fruit food, khichdi or pulao of quick digesting Sama rice is ready. You can serve it with curd or fruit chutney, it tastes very tasty.
