Avocado Toast

#BP26 Avocado Toast is a simple and popular breakfast or snack. It is made by mashing ripe avocado and spreading it on toasted bread. The avocado is usually mixed with finely chopped onion, coriander, lemon juice, salt and black pepper for extra flavor. It is creamy, filling, and quick to make. The toast is crisp while the topping is fresh and buttery. You can use multigrain or whole wheat bread for a healthier version.

Step 1

Toast the bread slices until golden and crisp.

Step 2

Cut the avocado in half, remove the seed, and scoop the pulp into a bowl.

Step 3

Mash the avocado with a fork. Add chopped onion, coriander, lemon juice, black pepper and salt. Mix well.

Step 4

Spread the avocado mixture evenly on the toasted bread slices.

Step 5

Cut into triangles or serve whole. Optional: drizzle little olive oil or sprinkle chili flakes on top.

Step 6

Serve immediately.
