Step 1

Coarsely crush the cashews, almonds, walnuts, pistachios, and raisins using the traditional method with your hands or a mortar and pestle. Do not grind them into a fine powder.

Step 2

Grind the chopped dried dates in a mixer into a coarse mixture.

Step 3

In a large bowl, combine the crushed dry fruits, ground dried dates, and poppy seeds. Mix well and keep aside.

Step 4

Heat the pure ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan over low heat. Add the dry fruit mixture and roast it for about 30 minutes, stirring continuously until it becomes aromatic and lightly golden.

Step 5

In the same pan, roast the edible gum (gond) in a little ghee until it puffs up. Remove and allow it to cool.

Step 6

In a mixer, grind together the roasted gond, rock sugar (mishri), Jawari Tikki (Sindhi peppermint candy), green cardamom, and black peppercorns into a fine powder.

Step 7

Allow the roasted dry fruit mixture to cool completely.

Step 8

Add the powdered gond and spice mixture to the cooled dry fruit mixture. Mix thoroughly until everything is evenly combined.

Step 9

Store the mixture in a clean, dry, airtight container. Enjoy it in small portions as a nourishing traditional health mix.
