Step 1
Prepare Batter -Mix corn, semolina, curd, onion, chilli, ginger, salt, and water into a thick batter. Rest for 10–15 mins.
Step 2
Just before cooking, mix in Eno or baking soda gently.
Step 3
Lightly grease Appe pan cavities. Sprinkle a pinch of roasted sesame seeds into each cavity.
Step 4
Pour batter over sesame seeds. Cover and cook on low-medium heat until golden. Flip and cook the other side.
Step 5
Optional – Add curry leaves or coriander to batter for extra flavour . Serve with: Green chutney or tomato ketchup.
