Step 1

In a bowl, add semolina, gram flour, grated bottle gourd, curd, ginger, red chilli powder, cumin powder, and salt.

Step 2

Heat ghee in a small pan, add mustard seeds and curry leaves, and let them splutter. Add this tempering to the mixture.

Step 3

Add water gradually and mix well to form a thick, spreadable batter.

Step 4

Cut the bread slices into halves.

Step 5

Spread the prepared mixture evenly on one side of each bread slice.

Step 6

Heat a tawa and grease it lightly with ghee.

Step 7

Place the bread (mixture side down) and cook on low to medium heat until golden brown and crispy.

Step 8

Flip and cook the other side lightly if needed.

Step 9

Serve hot and enjoy!
