Kutch Shahi Gulab Pak/ Dryfruit Rose Mawa Burfi

#FEAST26 Gulab Pak is a very famous, delicious, and traditional sweet from the Kutch district of Gujarat, India. This sweet is made with homemade chenna or milk mawa. You can also use paneer. To make instant gulab pak in just a few minutes, add condensed milk and prepared paneer. It will be delicious in no time.

Step 1

First, wash and chop the fresh rose petals. If there are any dry petals, crush them slightly with your hands.

Step 2

Turn on the gas and place the pan on low heat. Add ghee and mawa/paneer and stir for 2-3 minutes. Then add condensed milk, milk powder, and milk, and stir continuously for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

When the ghee separates, add the rose petals and stir well. Add the rose essence, cardamom powder, and mixed dry fruits and mix well. When the mixture thickens, turn off the heat.

Step 4

Spread the hot Gulab Pak on a greased plate/tray. Press it evenly to set. Spread chopped pistachios and rose petals evenly and press them in. When it cools slightly, cut into squares and let it set for 3-4 hours.

Step 5

Enjoy delicious Gulab Pak and Gulab Barfi on the auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan.
