Step 1

Take 2 bowls of desiccated coconut in a large bowl

Step 2

Add 200 grams milkmaid and mix well to make a soft dough

Step 3

Divide the dough into 2 equal parts

Step 4

Keep one part white as it is

Step 5

Add 1/2 tsp red food colour to the second part and mix well to make pink dough

Step 6

Grease a plate and place butter paper on it

Step 7

Roll the white dough into a square shape about 1/2 inch thick

Step 8

Roll the red dough also and cut into small equal square pieces

Step 9

Arrange them like a chess board – one white, one red

Step 10

Press lightly so both colours stick together

Step 11

Keep in fridge for 1 hour to set

Step 12

Cut into squares and serve. no-cook Chess Board Sweet is ready.
