Step 1

Wash & soak rice for 20 minutes. Heat oil/ghee, add whole spices → sauté till fragrant. Add sliced onions → cook till golden.

Step 2

Add ginger-garlic paste & green chili → sauté. Add tomatoes → cook till soft. Add vegetables + spices + salt → cook 3–4 mins.

Step 3

Add curd (optional) and mix well. Add soaked rice + water → mix gently.

Step 4

Cover and cook on low flame (or pressure cook for 1 whistle). Garnish with coriander & mint.
