Stuffed Tomato And Potato Fritters

#Aloo Crispy gram-flour–coated tomatoes stuffed with a spicy mashed potato filling, deep-fried till golden and crunchy outside while soft and flavourful inside. A perfect desi snack best enjoyed with chutney or sauce.

Step 1

In a bowl, take gram flour, add salt and water as needed, and prepare a smooth medium-thick batter.

Step 2

For the stuffing, mash the boiled potatoes in a plate. Add red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, asafoetida, garam masala, chopped green chilli, ginger paste, sugar, and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well.

Step 3

Wash and wipe the tomatoes. Cut the top portion and carefully remove the seeds and pulp. Stuff each tomato with the prepared potato mixture.

Step 4

Dip the stuffed tomatoes into the gram flour batter, coating them well.

Step 5

Deep fry them one by one in hot oil until golden and crispy.

Step 6

Serve hot with your favourite chutney or sauce.
