#Aloo A pahadi style dish of potatoes in a lightly spiced creamy rice plus yoghurt gravy

Step 1

Grind the raw rice and green cardamom with 4 tablespoons of water

Step 2

Keep it aside

Step 3

Heat the ghee

Step 4

Add black cardamom and cinnamon

Step 5

Add zeera and hing and cook for few seconds

Step 6

Now add onions ,coriander powder and salt

Step 7

Add cut potatoes and mix well

Step 8

Cover and cook for 15 minutes on medium heat till potatoes are nearly done ,stirring once or twice in between

Step 9

Add the turmeric ,ground rice paste in the curd and mix it thoroughly

Step 10

Add this to the potatoes and keep stirring on medium heat till the gravy comes to a boil

Step 11

Let it cook for another few minutes to remove any raw rice taste

Step 12

Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with chappati or rice

Step 13

A Little ghee can be added to top (optional )
