Step 1

Wash and soaked overnight all beans, pulses, and lentils in plenty of water. The next day, strain it.

Step 2

In a pressure cooker, add all pulses and lentils along with salt, turmeric powder, and eno soda.Cook till 5 whistles blows.

Step 3

Take a kadai, add oil, hing and jeera. Add ginger chilli paste and garlic paste. Saute it. Add onion paste. Cook well till turns in pink brown colour.

Step 4

Add tomato puree. Mix well. Cook till oil releases. Add all masalas. Mix well. Add curd and salt, too.

Step 5

Now add cooked mix beans and pulses in it. Pour water as required to make semi thick dal curry. Cook for 5 minutes on a low flame. Add butter, kasoori methi, chopped coriander, and lemon juice.

Step 6

Ready to serve a very healthy high protein punjabi dal. Enjoy with roti, fulka, naan, kulcha, steamed rice.
