#SLC  I have made sesame and ginger laddoos for Sakat Chauth and Makar Sankranti. Lord Ganesha is worshipped on this day, and laddoos are offered as prasad (offering). Giving sesame laddoos as a gift is customary during Makar Sankranti. In our Sanatan Dharma, Makar Sankranti is celebrated with great enthusiasm. Flying kites is also a tradition on this day. Let’s learn how to make them.

Step 1

First, mix the white and black sesame seeds and roast them.

Step 2

Now, transfer the roasted sesame seeds to a bowl. In the same pan, add water, jaggery, and ghee, and cook until bubbles appear.

Step 3

Now add the dry ginger powder and sesame seeds and mix well.

Step 4

Turn off the gas and, with wet hands, shape the mixture into laddoos while it’s still warm.

Step 5

(It becomes difficult to shape them once they cool down.)
