#DS26 Tasmai is a traditional and immensely popular sweet dish from Chhattisgarh. Simply put, it is a Chhattisgarhi-style kheer (rice pudding) prepared with great enthusiasm for special occasions, festivals (such as Hareli, Pora, and Diwali), and auspicious events. In Chhattisgarhi culture, Tasmai is not merely a dessert but a symbol of prosperity and celebration. It is often served alongside puri ,sohari, or savory dishes (such as angakar roti or chila). This combination of sweet and savory flavors is a hallmark of Chhattisgarhi cuisine.
