Step 1

Wash the raw mangoes and boil them in pressure cooker with half cup of water,tulsi leaves, 4 inch giloy stem,( an Ayurvedic herb ) till soft on low heat.

Step 2

Cool and remove their seeds.

Step 3

Blend pulp in mixie with remaining water in cooker ,tulsi and giloy to get Amla’s pulp.

Step 4

Sieve the pulp ,discard solids .

Step 5

Transfer the pulp in a pan with sugar, cinnamon powder .Add cumin powder ,black pepper powder, salt and black salt to taste and cook till it is thick and dry.

Step 6

Cool and Spread on greased tray. Dry in air of fan first.Then dry in sun (covered with muslin cloth ) .

Step 7

when completely dry, cut into flower shape. Coat the with powdered sugar .Decorate with glazed cherries and saffron strands . Serve

Step 8

Keep in air tight jar.can be used for months.
