Papaya with Carrot Kheer

Step 1

In a blender or food processor, puree the grated carrot and chopped papaya until smooth.

In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, cardamom, and cinnamon. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves.

Add the carrot-papaya puree to the milk mixture and stir well.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the kheer thickens slightly.add milk powder and condensed milk

Remove from heat and stir in the ghee or unsalted butter.

Let the kheer cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.

Garnish with chopped nuts or dried fruit, if desired.
