Step 1

Pressure cook dal with turmeric and water (3–4 whistles). Heat oil → add mustard + cumin → garlic → onion → sauté. Add tomato + green chili → cook till soft.

Step 2

Add spinach → cook 2–3 mins. Mix cooked dal → simmer 5 mins → adjust salt.
