Step 1

Add the soaked pistachios to a grinder jar.

Step 2

Add the soaked cashews along with a little milk and prepare a smooth paste.

Step 3

Heat a pan and add the crumbled mawa and cashew-pistachio paste. Mix well and roast on medium flame while stirring continuously.

Step 4

Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature.

Step 5

Add the grated coconut and powdered sugar. Mix well.

Step 6

Cook again on medium flame, stirring continuously, until the mixture turns a light chocolate colour.

Step 7

Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.

Step 8

Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a peda. Repeat the process to prepare all the pedas.

Step 9

Spread coconut powder on a tray and place the prepared pedas over it.

Step 10

Garnish with chopped pistachios and serve.
