Makhandi Halwa

For this delicious halwa, I first caramelized the sugar to give it a beautiful colour and rich flavour. Then, I added semolina soaked in milk and cooked it until perfectly smooth and creamy. Finally, I added a generous handful of dry fruits for that extra crunch and richness #kj6

Soak the semolina (suji) in milk and keep it aside for a few minutes.

Step 3

Heat ghee in a pan and add sugar.

Step 4

Let the sugar caramelize on low to medium heat until it turns golden brown.

Step 5

Add the milk-soaked suji carefully and mix well.

Step 6

Cook on low heat, stirring continuously, until the suji is cooked and the halwa becomes smooth and creamy.

Step 7

Add chopped dry fruits and mix well.

Step 8

Cook for another 2–3 minutes, then turn off the heat.

Step 9

Garnish with some extra dry fruits and serve warm.
