Step 1

Dry roast the ajwain for 1-2 minutes and grind it coarsely.

Step 2

Heat ghee in a pan and fry the gond until it puffs up. Crush it lightly and keep aside.

Step 3

In the same pan, add wheat flour and roast on low flame until golden brown and aromatic.

Step 4

Add the crushed ajwain and mix well.

Step 5

Heat water separately and dissolve the jaggery in it. Strain if needed.

Step 6

Slowly pour the jaggery water into the roasted flour mixture, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

Step 7

Add the fried gond and chopped nuts.

Step 8

Cook for 3-4 minutes until the halwa thickens.
