Crispy Corn

#Corn26 Evening snacks, cold drinks, chai, party starter. Loved by everyone from kids to adults. Corn is fried till crispy and then tossed in spices. It is usually served with eggless mayonnaise or ketchup.

Step 1

Make corn crispy- Boil corn for 5 mins. Drain water and pat completely dry with a kitchen towel.

Step 2

Add corn flour, maida, salt, black pepper. Mix well so every kernel is coated.

Step 3

Heat oil on medium-high flame. Fry corn in small batches till golden and super crispy. 4-5 mins. Drain on tissue paper.

Step 4

Make the sauce-In 1 tsp oil, saute garlic + green chilli + onion for 30 sec on high flame.

Step 5

Add ketchup, red chilli sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, 2 tbsp water. Cook for 1 min till it thickens.

Step 6

Add black salt + chaat masala. Mix. The sauce should be glossy and sweet-sour. Toss & Serve-Turn off the flame. Immediately add hot crispy corn to the sauce. Toss only 10-15 sec. Transfer to a glass or bowl. Garnish with onion rings, lemon slice, fried green chilli and sprinkle chaat masala.
