Ragi Ladoo (Finger Millet Ladoo)

#Modak Ragi or nachni or finger millet is a healthy grain and should be included in the food that we make. Being very rich in calcium it is excellent for kids and women. Ragi Ladoo (Nachni Laddu) is a highly nutritious, gluten-free Indian sweet made with roasted finger millet flour, iron-rich jaggery, ghee, and crunchy nuts. These bite-sized energy balls are exceptionally rich in calcium and fiber, making them an ideal, guilt-free snack for children and adults alike.

Step 1

First of all add groundnut in a pan and dry roast them on low flame. Then cool these peanuts and remove their skins, add them to the mixer jar and coarsly grind them.

Step 2

Now heat ghee in a pan, add finger millet flour to it and fry it for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring constantly with a spoon on low flame until the color changes and the flour starts to smell fragrant.

Step 3

Now take out the roasted finger millet flour in a bowl and add coarsly crushed groundnut powder, desiccated coconut powder, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder to it and mix well.

Step 4

Then add chopped jaggery to a pan, add water to it and cook it by stirring constantly with a spoon on low gas flame. Now when the jaggery melts and bubbles start coming, turn off the gas flame and cool it slightly.

Step 5

Now add jaggery syrup little by little to the finger millet flour mixture and mix with a spoon. Then add chopped pistachios, chopped cashews and chopped almonds and mix well.

Step 6

Then make fast ladoo only when this mixture is hot. Roll all the ladoos in this way.

Step 7

Now our very healthy and delicious Ragu Ladoo is ready for serve. Serve this ladoo with silver varkh on top. Offer Ganpati bappa bhog prasad.
