Step 1
Wash and peel off Alphonso mango and cut in small pieces or grind in mixer jar and make Alphonso mango paste.
Step 2
In a kadai mix, milk powder, milk, powdered sugar and condensed milk. Stir well. Now turn on gas stove flame.
Step 3
Stir continuously on a slow flame of gas stove. Make sure no lumps in the mixture. Now add mango pulp or paste. Give a nice stir. Add ghee for flavour and glossy texture. When thickens add desiccated coconut powder mix well. Add cardamom nutmeg powder. Cook it until turns in a dough form, stir constantly to avoid burning. Turn off the gas stove.
Step 4
Keep aside for the couple of minutes to cool down a little bit. Take a modak mould and fill in the cavities this mango Mawa mixture. And make all the modak.
Step 5
For garnishing sprinkle some desiccated coconut powder, and rose petals.
Step 6
Offer naivedyam to lord Ganesh and enjoy Prasad of Mango Mawa Coconut Modak.
