Step 1

In a mixing bowl combine together ragi flour oats powder pinch of salt and ghee

Mix nicely with your finger tips then by adding milk little by little knead a medium tight dough

Step 4

Now make medium sized muthia with the dough Heat ghee in a kadai on low heat

Slide the muthia pieces in the hot ghee and fry them by turning them at regular intervals until it becomes brown and cooks properly Fry 2 – 3 pieces of muthia at one time

When done take them out in a bowl and let them cool down completely Then pound them in a mortar and pestle and then grind them in a mixer jar into a fine powder Take out this powder in a bowl and add powdered sugar the churma is ready Now for making dough for modak add condensed milk

Mix them well it should be like a smooth dough For stuffing grind kaju pista badam and coconut in a mixer grinder

Take it out in a bowl and add condensed milk and mix properly

Step 9

Add sufficient condensed milk so that balls can be made easily

Make small small balls from the stuffing mixture

Take a modak mould and grease it with little ghee

Step 12

Now take some ragi mixture and put it inside the mould , by pressing it properly

Then make a dent with your finger and put the stuffing ball inside

Again take some ragi dough and cover the outer area properly Open the mould and take out the ready modak place it in the plate

In this way make all the Modak

Step 16

Take a serving plate and arrange the modak

Garnish it with some chocolate sprinklers
