Kanda Kairichi Chutney

#PD26 The Kanda Kairichi Chutney is a Sweet & Spicy chutney. I made it from onions and raw mangoes with tadka of mustard seeds and hing. It is a perfect accompaniment with bhakri, dosa, cheela and even dhokla full of vitamin A, C, K and antioxidants. It is a quick side dish that can jazz up a meal in summers.

Step 1

Wash, peel and chop onion, raw mango. Collect all the ingredients.

Step 2

Transfer it in a mixer. Add jaggery, peanuts, salt, red chilli powder and grind it to a smooth paste. Transfer it in a bowl.

Step 3

Heat cooking oil in a wok. Add mustard seeds and when mustard seeds splutter put cumin seeds and then switch off the flame. Add asafoetida.

Step 4

Pour this tempering on grinded chutney.

Step 5

Serve with cheela, Bhakri, dosa or as a side dish with meal.
