Lasoode ka Achaar (Punjabi Style )

A great pickle made of these berries called lasode in punjabi .these berries are available only from April to June and so making pickle out of them is a good way of using these for more than 6months #PD26

Step 1

Wash the lasoode. Remove the small branches if there. Boil them in hot water with a little salt and haldi for 5-7 minutes.

Step 2

Remove from water ,let them dry and remove the cap top of the berries.  Remove the seeds too.

Step 3

Mix all the masala’s and salt together. Peel the raw mango and grate it.  Mix together lasoode,grated mango and all the spices well

Step 4

Heat mustard oil to smoking point. Let it cool a little. Pour this oil in the lasoode mixture.

Step 5

Put it in a sterialized glass jar and close it. Place in light sunlight for about 2days. It’s ready to use

Step 6

It can be refrigerated and kept for 6months or the oil should be right upto the top of the jar (then it can be stored in a clean cool place

Step 7

Serve with stuffed parantha , or rice or chappatis during meals
