#PD26 Chunda (Gujrati) meetha aam ka achar Rajapuri mango sweet pickle “Chunda” is very famous in Gujarat. This pickle is extremely delicious and loved for its sweet, spicy, and tangy taste. The best part is that it is not cooked on the stove. The sugar syrup is naturally prepared in sunlight, which gives it a unique traditional flavor.

Step 1

Wash the mangoes properly and dry them completely.

Step 2

Grate the mangoes using a coarse grater.

Step 3

Take a glass bowl and mix the grated mangoes with turmeric, salt, and deshi khand.

Step 4

Cover the bowl with a cotton cloth and keep it in sunlight for 10 days.

Step 5

During these days, the sugar will melt and form a natural syrup, and the mango strands will become soft and translucent.

Step 6

At this stage, add clove ,cinnamon , cardamom powder and Kashmiri red chilli powder. Store the chunda in a clean glass bottle.

This traditional Gujarati chunda tastes amazing with puri, paratha, and dal-chawal.
